الم ﴿١﴾ ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿٢﴾

Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:1-2

Al-Muqattaat, or the abbreviated letters, consists of two to five Arabic Alphabets, figuring at the beginning of twenty-nine Chapters in the Qur'an and occurring in six surahs. Also, the meaning and purpose of these letters remain unknown. Maaida draws from the mysteries of seeking meaning to capture the Divine's origin and power.
